Provolone Cheese- This semi-hard cheese has a sharp taste. Provolone cheese has hints of nutty flavors with a little salty undertones which makes it a great cheese in this grilled cheese recipe.

Whole Grain Bread- We chose whole grain bread in this recipe for an extra does of nutrition for our family. Whole grain breads have less sugar than white bread and are high in B Vitamins, fiber, and protein. There are many other breads that would work great in this recipe, but this is what we chose!

How to make this Blackberry Grilled Cheese at home

Step 1: Heat up the skillet

First start by heating your skillet over low heat on the stove.

Step 2: Coat the whole grain bread

Mix the mayonnaise and mustard in a small bowl and spread onto one side of each slice of the bread.

Step 3: Grill the sandwich

Place the bread mayo-side-down into the skillet. Top with the provolone cheese and blackberries. Add the second slice of bread mayo-side-up. Then cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until bread is toasted and cheese is melted.
