Mother’s Day is fast approaching and there is nothing better than to bring her breakfast in bed and offer her a wholesome tropical smoothie made with pineapple, papaya, mango and clementine juice from Florida.

Pampering the one we love is good but better when we can prepare for them fresh food with real, in-season fruit. I personally love to buy fresh fruit at my local supermarket or farmer’s market and cut it into bite-sized pieces, pack in a plastic bags and placed in the freezer for making easy smoothies, like this tropical smoothie.

You can also opt to buy frozen fruit. It is incredible how many varieties now exist and so many good options to use. Since smoothies are a frozen treat you can use frozen fruit to avoid adding ice, as this can add more liquid than needed diluting the nice flavors of the fruit.

Easy Tropical Smoothie

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup frozen pineapple
  • ¼ cup frozen mango
  • ¼ cup frozen papaya
  • 2 Tbsp. clementine juice (or use orange juice)
  • 1 Tbsp. peanut butter powder
  • 1 tsp. honey (optional)
  • 1½ cups water

Directions:

1. Add pineapple, mango, papaya, clementine juice, peanut butter powder and honey to blender. Add water and blend until smooth.
