egg and ham salad

Here’s what makes this egg and ham salad so EGGcellent:

The eggs: They are a great source of protein, and at 6 grams each, eggs pack a serious protein punch. In addition to protein, eggs contain vitamins A, B12, B5, and D, as well as iron, phosphorus, and selenium — all nutrients that your body needs for proper function.

Green onion: Great for flavor! A little goes a long way too!

Light mayo: When it comes to mayonnaise, we often think that the lighter version is somehow lesser than the original. But if you’re trying to limit your calories and fat content, light mayo is actually the better choice and it doesn’t skimp on flavor. So next time you’re making a sandwich or this egg and ham salad, reach for the light mayo. It might not be as creamy as the regular stuff, but it’s definitely healthier for you and tastes just as good.

Lemon juice: It’s subtle, but you know it’s there and it keeps your egg salad fresher longer.

Tomatoes for ham salad

Salad greens: We love prepackaged salad greens because it’s so much easier than cutting and washing a bunch of greens!

Cherry tomatoes: These little bright red gems are packed with flavor and add such a nice texture to any salad.

Cucumber: Nothing screams fresh summer salad quite like cucumbers. Low in calories, high in water content, and a great source of vitamin C.

Chopped ham: Ham gives this salad another bit of protein and rounds out all the flavors nicely. You could skip it if you’re trying to avoid meat, but we really like the taste in this delicious salad that will certainly have you coming back for seconds.

This salad is so good you won’t even need salad dressing! Give it a try today!
